Effective communication with your supplier is essential during the AliExpress purchase process. This guide will help you understand how to contact your supplier directly and what steps to take if they do not respond promptly.
How to Contact Your Supplier Directly
- Visit the AliExpress website.
- Search for the specific product you are interested in and click on it to access the product page.
- Scroll down to locate the Message button, which is found below the product description, next to the Follow button.
After clicking the Message button, a chat box will open, allowing you to message the supplier directly.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
- Not all suppliers have a message button available.
- Even if a chat option is present, the supplier may not be available immediately. You can check if your message has been read, as “Read” and “Unread” statuses will appear below your message.
What to Do If the Supplier Doesn’t Respond
Suppliers may not reply promptly due to different time zones or high order volumes during shopping festivals. If a supplier has not responded within a reasonable time frame, consider the following options:
- Find Another Supplier: If you haven’t received a response, search for another supplier offering the same product.
- Cancel the Order: You can submit a cancellation request in the system, which will automatically cancel your order once the processing time has elapsed.
- Open a Dispute: If you are dissatisfied with your order or it hasn’t arrived, you can apply for a refund by opening a dispute. Ensure you do this within the Buyer Protection period. Refer to this guide for instructions on how to open a dispute.
Important Considerations When Contacting Suppliers
- You don’t need to write in English if you’re not fluent, as AliExpress automatically translates messages. However, using English may help avoid translation errors and confusion.
- If you receive a message stating NOTE: The message has not been sent. Please be aware that you are required to comply with local laws & policies, it means you have used forbidden words like WhatsApp or WeChat, which AliExpress blocks to prevent transactions outside the platform.
