To comply with customs regulations, it is essential to ensure that all orders to Brazil, Korea, or Chile include specific customs clearance information in the Customer info section. Without this crucial information, orders cannot be successfully placed with your suppliers.

For orders to Brazil and some orders to Korea, there is a required field called Additional Information on the Shopify checkout page where customers can enter their customs clearance information. Zopi will assist in synchronizing this information for seamless order fulfillment.
For orders to Mexico, you need to add a custom field in the Company section on your Shopify Checkout page. This allows buyers to input their RFC/CURP during checkout. If the Company field is missing, you can manually update the RFC/CURP by accessing the Customer Detail in Zopi’s Order Center and entering the RFC/CURP in the Company field.
For orders to Chile and some other orders to Korea, you must manually add a field for customs clearance information. Follow these steps:
Step 1: Modify the Themes
- Go to your Shopify admin > Online Store > Themes.
- Click the Three-dot icon and select Edit default theme content in the Dawn section.
- Click Checkout & System and locate the Checkout contact section.
- Fill in the corresponding field as follows:
- If you are targeting Chile/Korea exclusively, fill the Company label box with “RUT” or “Custom Clearance Information (CCI)”.
- If you are doing business in multiple countries including Chile/Korea, fill the Optional company label box with the same terms, allowing customers outside of Chile/Korea to skip this field.
- Click Save.
Step 2: Modify the Settings
- Go to your Shopify admin > Settings > Checkout.
- Scroll to the Customer information section.
- Under the Company name section, select the radio button for Required if you filled in the Company label box, or Optional if you filled in the Optional company label box.
- Click Save.
Once you complete these settings, Zopi will synchronize the information to the appropriate fields in Customer info.
