It’s crucial to collaborate with suppliers who understand these requirements and can provide the necessary documentation.

We must ensure that our suppliers provide products that comply with TikTok’s guidelines. Shipping Requirements

As a seller on TikTok Shop, you have two shipping options:

  • Ship by TikTok allows you to choose a Logistics Service Provider (LSP) listed by TikTok in the Seller Center, making the shipping process more straightforward as TikTok manages it.
  • Ship by Seller, however, lets you choose your own preferred LSP, provided they are supported by TikTok Shop as per the Ship by Seller Guide.

There are different responsibilities when selecting either Ship by TikTok or Ship by Seller options. For dropshipping, selecting ‘Ship by Seller‘ is often better. However, it’s crucial to find a TikTok-supported logistics service and collaborate with a reliable supplier.

Delivery Timeline

Fast shipping is vital on TikTok Shop. TikTok requires that items be shipped within three business days once an order is placed. The entire delivery process, from supplier to customer, must not exceed 11 business days. Any delays could lead to unhappy customers and damage our store’s reputation. Hence, working with reliable suppliers to ensure timely delivery.

US-Based Condition

According to TikTok Shop requirements, you must be at least 18 years old and have a U.S. passport or a U.S. driver’s license to register as a seller. There are two types of sellers: individual sellers and business sellers. However, cross-border sellers are not permitted to register as individual sellers, and governments, politicians, and political parties are prohibited from becoming TikTok Shop sellers. This ensures that all sellers on the platform are verified U.S. residents, maintaining a trusted and compliant marketplace.

Refund Policies

TikTok Shop allows customers to initiate returns and refunds, known as “after-sale” requests, once the package status is updated to “Shipped.” A refund is issued to the customer at the seller’s expense, unless otherwise specified. Sellers can also raise a “Refund only” request for orders in transit if they wish to issue a refund without receiving the returned item. Customers have up to 30 calendar days after the package is marked as “Delivered” to raise a Return and Refund request, ensuring they have ample time to address any concerns with their purchase.

Shop Performance Score

Shop Performance Score (SPS) is a valuable metric for sellers to gauge their shop’s efficiency. This score, from 0 to 5, is derived from evaluating various factors over a specific period, such as 30 or 90 days. It encompasses elements like product satisfaction, order fulfillment, logistics, and customer service.

A higher SPS can unlock benefits on the platform, including the prestigious Star Shop badge. This badge not only increases our shop’s visibility but also reflects our commitment to excellent service.
