Selling products on social media platforms like TikTok Shop is becoming increasingly popular due to the ability to reach a vast audience of potential buyers.
TikTok Shop is an in-app shopping feature that allows merchants, brands, and content creators to showcase and sell their products directly and creatively on TikTok.
Currently, the TikTok Shop and Zopi integration is available only to US-based merchants and supports shipping within the United States. If you wish to sell products on TikTok Shop, you need to set up a TikTok Shop US account.
How to set up a TikTok Shop US account
Step 1: Sign up for a TikTok Shop US
First, go to the TikTok Seller Center, and sign up for a TikTok seller’s account with your phone number or email address.
Step 2: Add business information
Then, select your business type. There are several types of sellers
- An individual seller refers to a person who is not a business entity but offers goods for sale as an individual.
- A business seller (any of the other options) refers to a legally authorized business entity that offers goods for sale.

Step 3: Add seller information
Next, provide information about yourself:
- Individual sellers will need to submit a US passport or driver’s license, along with a US taxpayer ID during this step;
- Business sellers will need to provide a company registration document, as well as a US passport or a driver’s license.
NOTE: A bank account will be required later to receive payments. Ensure it matches the name of the company or individual you provided.
Step 4: Add your shop information
The last one is to choose a unique name for your shop. Check the TikTok Shop Name Guidelines for more information.
Input the relevant business details and choose the primary product/service type of your shop. This selection is solely for registration purposes and does not restrict the types of products you can sell in your store.
Finally, click Submit to complete the registration process. After completing these steps, it can take 1-2 days for your account to be reviewed by TikTok.
Once your account has been approved and verified, you can start setting up your TikTok Shop and connecting it to Zopi.
NOTE: TikTok Shop may suspend inactive accounts, so be sure to log in to your TikTok Shop account at least once every 30 days.
