Are you looking to cancel an order on Temu? Or perhaps a customer has requested a refund? Follow these straightforward steps to effectively manage both situations.
How to Cancel an Order from Temu
- Log into your Temu account.
- Click on your user avatar in the top right corner and select Your Orders from the left-hand menu.
- Locate the order you wish to cancel under All Orders and click on Cancel/Other.
- Follow the on-screen instructions and select I want to cancel item(s).
- Click All at the top of the list.
- Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Cancel checked items.
- You will receive a refund confirmation in your message inbox.
If your order has already been packed, it cannot be canceled. However, most items can be returned within 90 days of purchase. Please wait for your order to arrive and then request a refund.
What to Do If a Customer Asks for a Refund
Respond promptly to the customer’s refund request with a polite and professional message. Acknowledge their concern and assure them that you will handle it efficiently.
To process a return, follow these steps:
- Find the relevant order in Your Orders and click on the Return/Refund button.
- Select the item(s) you wish to return and provide the reason for the return. Depending on your reason, you may need to provide additional information. After entering the required details, click Next Step to continue.
- If no return is necessary, simply select your preferred refund method. You can choose to receive your refund as a Temu credit balance or back to your original payment method. Make your selection and click Submit.
- If you need to return item(s), you will be given options for your return and refund methods. After submitting your request, Temu will provide a return label for your items. Return shipping is free for your first return of one or multiple returnable items for every order within 90 days of purchase.
- Pack all returned items into one package and use the provided return label. Ensure the original barcode for each item is included.
If you cannot find the barcode:
- Use transparent bags to individually package items without barcodes before placing them in the return package.
- Once the warehouse receives the items and they pass quality inspection, your refund will be issued.
- If you do not receive your refund, please contact us for assistance.
- Keep the barcode of each item for your next purchase to ensure a smooth refund process.
- After packaging all return items, print and attach the return label to the outside of the package. Return it from the nearest Poste Italiane/InPost location.
You can check the refund status of your item(s) on your order details page or through Temu’s SMS, Email, or Push notifications.
Ensure your return package is postmarked within 14 days after submitting your return; otherwise, the return process will be terminated. The return label is valid only for shipping within Italy (excluding security-restricted areas such as military bases).
Refunds can take 5-14 business days (up to 30 days) to be credited to your original payment account, depending on your financial institution. The original shipping fee is non-refundable unless the return is due to an error on Temu’s part. Insurance costs, if applicable, are also non-refundable.
You can opt for Temu credits instead of a refund to your original payment method:
- Refunds to Temu credits are processed faster than refunds to your original payment method.
- Temu credits do not expire.
- Once processed, refunds to Temu credits typically cannot be reversed.
- Temu credits cannot be redeemed for cash and can only be used for purchases on Temu.
