Zopi’s Split Product feature allows you to divide a single product with multiple variants into separate products. This functionality provides you with greater control over how you list and manage items in your store. You can split products by option (like size or color) or by variant (where each SKU becomes its own product).

From Product Catalog

  1. Access to Favorites list.
  2. Choose the product you want to split, then click the 3-dot “More.”
  3. Select Split Product.

From Product Center

  1. Navigate to Product Center.
  2. Select the product you want to split, then click the three-dot “More” icon.
  3. Select Split Product.

Two Methods to Split a Product

You can split products in Zopi using two methods: by option or by variant. Each method serves different purposes and can help you manage your inventory more effectively.

1. Split by Option

Use Case: Create multiple products based on a selected option (e.g., Size).

Result: Each product will include all other variants except the selected option.

Example: If you split by Size, each product will represent one size (S, M, L, etc.) while retaining all color options.

Steps to Split by Option:

  • Select Split by Option.
  • Choose an option (e.g., Size or Color).
  • Select the values to split (e.g., “S”, “M”, “L”).
  • (Optional) Adjust settings:
    • Keep current content after the split.
    • Keep other variant images after split.
    • Add the variant name to the product title.
  • Preview the result.
  • Click Split Product.

2. Split by Variant

Use Case: Create separate products for each selected variant (SKU-level control).

Result: Each new product will contain only one variant.

Example: If you split by SKU, one product will equal one size plus one color.

Steps to Split by Variant:

  • Select Split by Variant.
  • Choose the specific variants you want to split.
  • Adjust settings (same as above).
  • Preview the result.
  • Click Split Product.

Tips for Using the Split Product Feature

To maximize the benefits of the Split Product feature, consider the following tips:

  • Use Split by Option when you want to simplify product choices for customers, making it easier for them to navigate your store.
  • Use Split by Variant if you’re running targeted promotions or need more granular control over your inventory, allowing for better management of stock levels.

By utilizing the Split Product feature effectively, you can enhance your store’s organization and improve the shopping experience for your customers. For more information on managing your products, check out the Zopi Help Center.
